Instead of just 10 to 20 minutes in a small room with a doctor or technician, our visits include both a doctor and technician in your home dedicated to you and your pet for 40 to 60 minutes or more.

 

House Call/Travel Fees

 

All house calls have a base travel fee.  There is only one travel fee per visit, regardless of the number of pets we see during that visit.  The travel fee does not include examinations or consultation.

 

Doctor House Call/Travel Fees

  • $120-$180, depending on the address/location.

 

Examination/Consultation Fees

 

Comprehensive Exam/Annual Exam - up to 30-40 minutes (per pet).

  • ​

  • $90 per pet for current patients

    • Additional time may be required for new patients, puppies, very sick pets, and pets with complicated medical issues.

  • $135 per pet for new patients.​

  • $45 per 15 min of additional consultation time.

 

Acupuncture Assessment and Treatments -  30-70 minutes.

  • $185 - for the first visit or new ailment (60-70 minutes), which includes:

    • Comprehensive examination

    • Acupuncture assessment

    • First acupuncture treatment

  • $95 - follow up acupuncture treatments - 30-40 minutes.

  • $45 per 15 min of additional consultation or acupuncture.

 

Quality of Life Assessment 

  • $180/hr ($90 minimum, billed in 15 min increments) - includes a comprehensive exam and consultation with a specific focus on your pet's quality of life, comfort care, and pain control.

Phone & Email Consultations

One or two follow-up calls or emails from a doctor and/or a technician after each exam (not including short "check-ins") are included in the exam fee. These communications may be to report on labwork results, make recommendations, or answer questions.

 

Only clients who have had a home visit within the last 12 months are eligible for phone consultations.

 

Phone calls and e-mails beyond normal follow up may have the following fees:

  • $45 per extended e-mail

Our in-home euthanasia service includes:

 

  • Travel to your home by one of our experienced veterinarians and an assistant.

  • A brief examination by the veterinarian.

  • A sedative injection to allow your pet to be extremely relaxed and anxiety-free.

  • A skillfully administered euthanasia injection.

  • An ink pawprint or keepsake fur clipping, if you choose.

 

Euthanasia appointments are typically 40 minutes to 1 hour in length.  These are very flexible appointments.

 

Everyone deals with this difficult time differently, and we will always try to adjust to your needs as we guide you through the appointment with heartfelt compassion.

 

In-Home Euthanasia Fees (includes travel fee)

 

  • $315 - $375 depending on address/location.  Please contact us for a quote.

 

Individual (Private) Cremation

Fees are based upon your pet's weight and transportation to Family Animal Services in Portland.

 

  • $200 - $525 which includes:

    • Safe and respectful handling and transportation to a reputable local crematory

    • An individual cremation where your pet's ashes will be available for return to you.

      • Ashes may be picked up at our office in Lake Oswego or at Family Animal Services in NE Portland.  Ashes may also be shipped to your home for $25.

 

General Cremation

Fees are based upon your pet's weight and transportation to Family Animal Services in Portland.

 

  • $120- $330 which include:

    • Safe and respectful handling and transportation to a reputable local crematory

    • A general cremation where your pet's ashes will not be available to you.

 

Keepsakes

If you have chosen cremation services, you will also be offered some keepsake options to memorialize your beloved pet.

 

  • Clay pawprints - $35 

    • Clay pawprints may be picked up at our office or at Family Animal Services in NE Portland.  Pawprints may also be shipped for $25 (if you are having your pet's ashes returned to you as well as a clay paw print, there is only a single $25 fee for mailing both together).

  • Fur clipping (done in the home) - $0 - No charge

  • Ink pawprint (done in the home) - $0 - No charge
